Giant Red Velvet Cupcake

The Giant Red Velvet Cupcake was for a family friend who just turned 15. I'd only ever made one cake using the giant cupcake mould so I was a bit worried it wouldn't work properly, which is why I did a test run using the red velvet recipe I found on the Internet. It worked OK, lost a bit off the sides of the cake with it being a silicon mould but still had the basic shape of a giant cupcake.
The photos below are of the birthday cake not the test run. She was unsure as to what flavour to have for the icing and it was between vanilla and chocolate so I did both and create a swirly pattern. To finish it of I added a red daisy.

Easter Cake

I noticed the last time I went over to the bakery that the last Easter Cake I made had faded quite badly and was no longer green and blue but turquoise, which is a very nice colour but not when its meant to be a picnic scene.
So this time I've gone white and kept with the bunny theme as they are super cute and very Easter. I've create a bunny paradise with carrots galore and Easter eggs going around the bottom edge of the cake. I must mention that Easter eggs aren't good for bunnies :-) just in case there are any young readers.
The carrots and bunny are all hand made which is why the bunny looks a little bit like a mouse I think its the whiskers that did it.
For this cake I wanted to make it super kids friendly, very colourful and fun so hopefully someone will want to buy one and I'll make sure its cake inside and not polystyrene.

Tulip Cake

The Tulip Cake was for a 30th birthday and the brief was red tulips and lots of them.
I thought with it being a special birthday that a sugar spray would be nice so she would have a reminder of her 30th birthday and then edible tulips around the outside accompanied with a red fondant ribbon and three little butterflies.
The sugar paste tulip was the first one I've ever made so I was quite chuffed it turned out like the one on the Internet where I got the instructions from. The leaves are free hand and were the second batch I made as the first three were too skinny and didn't look right next to the large tulip.
The cake and board are covered in white fondant and the message was piped on with royal icing.
